Awards
  • To encourage members and active photographiers to participate in international photographic salons in various countries and to promote their interest in the art of pictorial photography, the Council has, by resolution, set up the rules governing applications by members for the award of Honours, Top Ten Certificates and Seal Awards. The council will consider applications for the following awards to life members with 1 years standing of the Association and will confer the awards to those life members (with 1 year standing), who have participated in international photographic salons in the large monochrome prints, large colour print and/or colour slide divisions (hereinafter referred to as "division") of the pictorial. The salon records are based on P.S.A. Who's Who Lists (Overseas & North America) published every year.

    1. Associateship (A.P.S.E.A.)
     

    i. Red Seal
    (i.e. with not less than 400 acceptances in International Photography Salon)

    ii. placed within top ten on the said List in any division for one year;

    iii. placed from 11th to 20th on the List in same division for two years;

    iv. placed from 11th to 25th on the List in same division for three years; or

    v. placed from 11th to 20th on the List in same division for two years and offered
    valuable contributions and effective services to the Association.

    2. Fellowship (F.P.S.E.A.)
     

    i. Gold Seal, Precious Stone Seal and Diamond Seal (i.e. with not less than 800 acceptances in International Photography Salon)

    ii. placed within top ten on the said List in the same division for two years;

    iii. acquired 1st place on the List in any division for any one year;

    iv. placed within top ten on the List in any division for one year and placed
    11th to 25th one the List in any division for two years; and

    v. placed within top ten on the List in any division for one year and offered
    valuable contributions and outstanding services to the Association.

  • Top Ten Certificate
    This is awarded to any life member (with 1 year standing) who is placed with top ten on the said List in any division each year. The rank order will be inscribed on the Certificate (Rank order will be the same for those who have acquired equal number of salon records)

  • Seal Award
    Any life member (with 1 year standing) who has participated in international photo -graphic salons with an accumulated records in the same division will be awarded a Seal Award.

i. Green Seal Award -
100 acceptances
 v. Silver Seal Award -
800 acceptances
ii. Blue Seal Award -
200 acceptances
 vi. Gold Seal Award -
1,000 acceptances
iii. Red Seal Award -
400 acceptances
 vii. Precious Stone Seal Award -
1,500 acceptances
iv. Bronze Seal Award -
600 acceptances
 viii. Diamond Seal Award -
2,000 acceptances


Prize-Presentation

A Certificate of Award will be presented to a member as a mememto on his admission to Associateship and Fellowship of the Association. The presentation will take place at the annual General Meeting/Anniversary of the Association.

 
Adjudication
For the purpose of these awards, adjudication will not be required. Applications will first be considered by the Awards Committee, whose recommendations will be submitted to the Council for approval. The decision of the Council is final. The Council shall not give an award to applicants whose applications have been found to contain false information or statement.
 
Application
Eligible member can obtain application forms free of charge from the Association forms together with detailed salon records/copies of evidence should reach the Association on or before 31st August each year for the attention of the Honours Chairman.

  • For Associateship - HK$400 (US$56)
  • For Fellowship - HK$600 (US$84)
 
Revision
The Council shall have the power to revise the rules of the Association as and when it deems fit.
